Must-Have New Year's Resolutions

As January 1st rolls around each year, people around the world create a list of "new year's resolutions." These lists usually include: exercise more, eat healthier, be more "green" and so on. To me, these resolutions have always seemed so intimidating and general. So, here are my must-haves for this new year, 2015! :)

  1. Drink at least one cup of green tea a day.
  2. Remember to hug my family members each time I leave the house.
  3. Have "outside time" every day, even if it is raining.
  4. Every once in a while, admire the sky.
  5. Learn one new word every week and use it in a conversation.
  6. Don't wear makeup on Sundays. (Or any day if you don't want to)
  7. People watch in the park more often.
  8. Go somewhere that you've never been before at least once a month.
  9. Eat chocolate and do not feel guilt afterwards. ;)
  10. Keep a dream journal.

                                                       That's all for now.

Quote of the Day

This quote is all about inspiration and motivation. In the end, we can only get these two things from within ourselves. If we do not want to be motivated or inspired to do something, then we will not, no matter what any outside force does to help. Take the day head on and do something with it. Because each day really is a gift.  :)

                                                                  That's all for now.

Quote of the Day :)

The holidays are one of the best times to reflect on the importance of family. For me, I am especially grateful for my sister.

I absolutely love this quote. Although I have never read this novel, this quote applies perfectly to the dynamic between sisters, in my opinion. Sisters can talk about anything together and nothing together. Even though we get on each other's nerves sometimes, okay, a lot of the time, we always make up in an instant because that's what sisters do.

                                                        That's all for now.

Quote of the Day

Quote of the Day:

This quote is so true! Better to have one best, ride or die friend than twenty acquaintances. :)

Food for Thought

Just a reminder to anyone out there who is reading this....

Whenever you have a bad day, maybe some friend troubles, personal issues or awful luck that seems to have been sent down by the universe just to make you angry, remember that everything happens for a reason and that really only time can tell. I have to constantly remind myself this because it seems to me that I ALWAYS have something go wrong when things are finally looking up, if you know what I mean. For instance, I though that a certain class of mine this year was going to suck. I was thinking of any way possible to drop it and transfer into something else. However, after sticking it out for a few weeks, I actually began to love it. It's kinda funny how this always seems to happen. So, whenever you feel like I did, remember that days, weeks, months, or years from now, you will say to yourself, to your kids and your grandkids that everything happens for a reason.
That's all for now

Guess Whose Back?

Hey there. Well, it's been a while. Considering I only have one or two followers, I'm sure no one has really missed me on the Internet world. Anyways, to answer the question posed in my title, I'm back. Woohoo! Hahaha (is this pathetic?) Whilst sitting on the couch, on a rainy day, I realized that I...do nothing with my days. Ok, that's a lie. I have school, homework and a few extracurriculars. But I do spend an overwhelmingly large amount of time here on the good ol' Internet, so I might as well give this whole "blogging" thing a shot. Mainly for my own sanity. If anyone I know in real life sees this, I will die of humiliation. :) Being a senior in high school during the winter, that means college acceptance and rejection letters are happily being mailed to innocent students who will either by overjoyed or depressed after reading the contents of these letters. For me, I don't really have a "top choice" school. Which is both nice, but also scary. I have NO clue where I really want to go, be or do. Great, right? Wrong. I am terrified. While others seem to have their ten year plans posted on their bulletin boards, I'm just here trying to figure out what I want to have for breakfast...Ok, yes, that was cliche. And I know my computer didn't autocorrect cliche for me. Cut me some slack, k? I always try to tell my friends who get rejected from schools- "everything happens for a reason." Honestly, somedays I believe it and others I don't. Us teenagers are so stressed and feel like we have to have everything figured out because our parents or other adults expect us to. But, whether they'd like to admit it or not, they were in similar shoes once themselves too.

That's all-for now
